Leader Fox is the traditional Czech bike manufacturer, located in Czech Republic. Leader Fox belongs to the Bohemia Bike Group and designs and manufactures a range of different bikes and e-bikes for both adults and children.
The investment was made for a new assembly line, designed to improve the production processes of different types of bikes. The new assembly line saves valuable floor space in the production hall, offers improved working conditions for the operators and is much more ergonomic than their previous line.
Together with the customer, we came up with the most suitable solutions for their specific needs.
The OCS 500 system is space efficient, providing more working space for the operators. With the modular solution, the system can easily be modified for different types of bikes based on quick changes in demand. The OCS assembly line includes individual components assembly, pre-assembly of different parts, final assembly, quality control and packaging.
The transport of parts between individual stations is carried out using a suspended transport system at a height of approximately 3 meters above the floor.
Based on the size of the product (bicycle frame), a suitable carrier was designed to fit a maximum number of different frames. The production capacity is 50 000 bikes/year with the main share of production being e-bikes. After being attached to the product carrier, the bicycle frame is automatically transported through the assembly station. After the final assembly station, the product is packed in a transport package and the empty carrier is automatically moved to the starting point.
