Yes, OCS offers RFID systems with tags and readers. The RFID system is connected to the PLC program via a separate network. The trolleys are equipped with RFID tags to guarantee traceability within the system.
OCS has a history of over 40 years of experience. We have installed systems in almost all industries. For example, in the automotive industry, surface treatment industry, aerospace industry, consumer goods industry (including furniture and bicycle production), and the food industry.
Depending on the size and complexity of the system, we typically recommend annual maintenance. This involves replacing normal wear parts and checking all components to ensure they function correctly. Generally, our systems do not require much maintenance; for example, no lubrication is needed.

It varies from system to system. Generally, our systems are based on the friction-driven principle. For example, our OCS Heavy Duty system is equipped with 4 wheels that run on a steel profile. The drive unit consists of four angled wheels which, in turn, are pressed against a rotating aluminum tube, propelling the trolley forward through the friction generated.

Technology that powers the production of the future
Friction Drive
Our patented systems are friction-driven. This creates quiet and clean systems. The drive mechanism consists of either a friction belt or a rotating aluminium tube.
The Trolley
With the friction belt, each drive trolley is equipped with a friction carrier and four load-bearing wheels. The friction carrier is pressed against the drive belt and transfers power to the drive trolley. With the rotating aluminium tube, each trolley has four angled wheels and four load-bearing wheels. Through the wheels, the rotation is transferred and converted into friction drive.
Motors
The drive mechanism is powered by an electric motor. One motor can drive up to 30 meters. If necessary, an extension can be connected. The drive technology is quiet and requires no lubrication. The motor can be adjusted for different drive speeds. The drive units can have soft start and stop movements, and we always use energy-efficient motors.
RFID
Each trolley has RFID chips or barcodes for identification and traceability. Built-in sensors register data and create control over production flows.
Curves and Switches
The modular system can be built with driven curves from 5° – 90°. Switches are built into the system to allow trolleys to switch on and off the track. Switches are available in both 45° and 90°, to both the right and left.
Incline
The system can handle inclines of up to 25°, depending on load weight. For vertical movement, we use vertical conveyors that can load on multiple levels.
Transfer Carriages
Transfer carriages in the system provide compact buffer areas. They also enable switching carriages to many different tracks and various directions. Different sections of the system can be operated at different speeds, both forward and backward.
Power & Free
With the Power & Free buffering technology, an even balance is created in large production flows. Power & Free buffers both on the driven track and in special buffer areas. For example, before a robot station and during loading and unloading.
