Overhead Conveyors
Flexible Picking, Storage, and Production Solutions
Whether you require solutions for individual items, components, or complete car bodies, we offer models that match your weight, speed, and changeover requirements. OCS provides a complete range of internal transport systems, focusing on overhead conveyor systems for production processes and storage.

Why Overhead Conveyors?
Overhead conveyors are one of the most cost-effective ways to optimize internal flows. By positioning the conveyor path above the workspace, free floor areas are created, leading to improved ergonomics and clearer workstations.
The friction-based technology eliminates the need for chains and oil, resulting in quieter operation, reduced maintenance, and lower energy consumption.
For companies that require rapid changeovers or frequently reconfigure their lines, overhead conveyors are an obvious choice – they are modular, scalable, and easy to adapt to new products or increased volumes.
Our System Models – From Light to Extreme Duty
All our conveyors are based on the same principles – clean, quiet, and flexible movement. The difference lies in load capacity and application. Together, we will select the system that best supports your workflow.

Why Choose OCS Modular Systems
FAQ
Yes, OCS offers RFID systems with tags and readers. The RFID system is connected to the PLC program via a separate network. The trolleys are equipped with RFID tags to guarantee traceability within the system.
OCS has a history of over 40 years of experience. We have installed systems in almost all industries. For example, in the automotive industry, surface treatment industry, aerospace industry, consumer goods industry (including furniture and bicycle production), and the food industry.
Depending on the size and complexity of the system, we typically recommend annual maintenance. This involves replacing normal wear parts and checking all components to ensure they function correctly. Generally, our systems do not require much maintenance; for example, no lubrication is needed.
Thanks to the modular design of the components, it is possible to expand or reconfigure an existing system in a simple, quick, and straightforward manner.
Yes, trolleys with a specially developed Power & Free function enable flexible buffering on driven tracks with loads up to 200 kg.
We typically use worm gear motors with 0.37 – 0.5 kW. One motor unit can drive a straight conveyor track up to 25 m.
It varies from system to system. Generally, our systems are based on the friction-driven principle. For example, our OCS Heavy Duty system is equipped with 4 wheels that run on a steel profile. The drive unit consists of four angled wheels which, in turn, are pressed against a rotating aluminum tube, propelling the trolley forward through the friction generated.
Yes, the product carriers are individually designed based on each customer’s needs and requirements. Naturally, we also draw upon extensive experience from previous projects to develop the optimal solution together with the customer.
Our systems are very quiet and remain below the required limits.
The maximum speed in our systems ranges between 0.5 m/s (OCS Heavy Duty) and 1.3 m/s (OCS Medium Duty).
It is possible to have a radius of 400 and 500 mm, as well as 15° to 180° depending on the system.
Here we use switches with 45° or 90° output. It is possible to implement output to the right, left, or straight ahead in the direction of travel.
Yes, inclines of up to 25° are possible depending on the load weight, or alternatively, a vertical conveyor.
We have different systems in our product range for various loads that handle corresponding requirements for stability and efficiency. Our systems can transport loads from just a few kg up to 500 kg, and then loads up to 3500 kg. We can also offer special solutions with loads up to 7.5 tons.
Yes, different sections and even parts of a system can consist of driven or manual tracks.
Yes, it is possible to drive at different speeds, both forward and backward.
